Snow Snow GO away

and do me a favor don't come back on another day!!! I have cabin fever people and this is soooo not funny! Not sure if we are going to get that lovely white stuff or not. It is supposed to hit us sometime on Monday, but I am crossing every part of my body that I can cross that is goes around us!! The kids were off school this whole week. Neither of them are looking foward to tomorrow. Being off has made them a wee bit LAZY... oh I am sorry made them MORE LAZY!

Brian is doing a lot better with his back, but is still having problems with his legs. He gets fire pain shooting down his legs and then they go numb. We know it is a nerve problem, and there is nothing they can do for him except shots and we don't have the $$$ for that! I sure wish he could insurance!

Isaiah is going through a clingy stage. He has to be on my lap or up my behind so to speak. Everywhere I go, he goes. Hey it is sorta like that song "Me and my shadow"!! He is my little buddy though. Oh and he has to fall asleep in my arms every night. The little bugger sometimes will be asleep and I put him in his bed for him to wake back up and then I have to start all over again! He has fallen asleep while I held him and as soon as I put him in his bed, those eyes pop open. I mean he was dead asleep snoring! Oh my he has got mommyitis for sure!

I am doing fairly well with my eating. I joined Sparks People today and I am trying to get used to the forum. It is different than C2L. I am still with C2L but there has been some major drama going on and the owner does not know if she is going to keep it or not, so I wanted to find another site to get support incase Mandy closes C2L. It is a shame that people can not be nice! Over the last 6 months I have lost 10lbs. Yea I know at least I lost, but please how sad!! So I joined a challenge on C2L called Loving ME and it ends in 3 weeks. I set my goal to lose 5 lbs in 3 weeks. I think that is doable!

Okay so sue me that I have not been around. Life is busy for me! Seems like there is never a dull moment. I only have so many hours in a day and those seem to go by way to quickly for me anymore.

I am still coughing a lot. It seems like that does not want to leave me. I guess it wants to be my friend. I don't need a friend like this one! LOL The kids are on the mend as well as Brian. Well Brian's back has been acting up. He was down for the past few days and today he did manage to go to work but not sure how he will make it back up the hill.

School was out today due to snow. They say we are going to be getting more of the white stuff over the next few days. I am not a happy camper! That means I am stuck in the house some more! I do hope the kids go to school tomorrow! Momma needs some time to herself!

As for my weight loss it seems like I am at a stand still. My scales are not budging. They go up then they go down then they go up....The past few days I have been very stressed and so I did eat more than normal. Anyway hopefuly I can get back to the dieting board!

Been sick sharing some pics and a cute video

I tell ya this year has been horrible for sickness. It seems we get rid of one thing to get something else. I wish it would GO away and NOT come again another day!!! I had promised some pictures on our New Years Eve . We had some good eats and then headed for bed. We had asked Brian's parents up but it is always no go with them. Oh well their loss!

I love taking pictures of Isaiah. He is just so adorable. Well all my boys are, no I am not prideful it is the TRUTH!! Logan took this one.

All my boys fortunately have been real good eaters. Isaiah is one of the best though. I think I could stick spinach (and I have) in front of him and he will eat it. We had spaghetti yesterday and he really got into his FOOD! He definately had to have a bath after this.

Not much has been going on around here since we all have been sick. Zack missed an entire week of school due to being sick. Logan brought his work home for him and he is still trying to get it all done. He has been sleeping alot! I am still not feeling my best. Taking care of the sick when you are sick yourself is quite hard! As I am writing this blog entry I am downloading a video I made of Isaiah. I tell ya it is taking forever to get it done!

So while I am waiting for the video to upload I will share another picture. I took this picture of my mom when they were up here for Zack's birthday. She has lost quite a bit of weight and mainly you can tell in her face and butt.

It sure has been cold! I have been having to carry buckets of water up to the animals. That is not even fun at all! And here Brian is wanting to get some more chickens and goats. Geesh! I love them but the winter time is NO fun trying to take care of them!! And I am sure the cold weather is here to stay for awhile! Cold is one thing but negative temps is another! Now I know why the birds go south! Maybe I too need to be a snowbird, FL here I come!

We have been having some car issues so Brian has been taking my Bravada which has left me stuck at home. I guess that is good considering I have no where in particular to go, unless shopping counts. The good Lord knows I don't need to be out spending money! Things are just so expensive these days! With my growing boys we sure do go through the groceries and I am sure it is NOT going to get any better!!!

New Years EVE and I fell

On New Years Eve Brian wanted to have some finger foods. So I made a cheese ball, some pigs in a blanket, chips and dip, poppers, and punch. I have a picture but have not uploaded it yet. The boys shot of their guns that Bob and Terry got them. They thought that was something. On New Years Day we just hung around the house. I wanted to go out driving but did not. The boys worked outside with Brian on making our duck fence bigger. This Spring we are going to get some more ducks. We may get a few more goats too, not sure.

I fell down yesterday. I had went up to take care of the animals and I did fine the way I went up and should've came back down the same way but alas I wanted to get to the house quicker. Oh I got down there quicker alright... on my bum! I fell from the top clear to the bottom. Today I feel like I have been in a wreck. My middle back to my calf muscles are killing me. I can hardly move!

On a lighter note... last night for some reason I had gas. Okay too much info I know, but it is the truth. Well I let loose of a loud one and Isaiah is laying beside me as well as Brian and all of the sudden when the gas passes... Isaiah says Uh oh!!! I died laughing!!! Then he said ewww!!! Kids!!!

These are of the first day of "real" school. The yellow monster came and swallowed them up around 7:20 and then spit them back out around 3:15. They were so talkative when they got hom. As you can see Isaiah was enjoying his time by himself reading a book!

These are pictures of us with our gifts from family. Terry Lee got Logan a gun and Uncle Bob got Zack one. Oh my were they on cloud 9. Logan said this was the bestest Christmas ever!!! Benita had me and got me a beautiful snowman, some potpourri, and a candle with a plate. I love snowmen!!! And Uncle Bobby got Isaiah a bulldozer and he loves it! He played with it for hours!!! Christal got Brian's name and got him a very nice Devotional book. I have not got a picture of him with it just yet. He tends to hide when the camera comes out.

I do want to apologize for my gifts being late. I ordered from Lakeside Collection and had no idea they did not tell ya when something was on backorder. This WILL NOT happen next year. I will get stuff done in August instead of November!!! Grrr......

Wow it has been awhile

It has been almost an entire month since I have blogged. I guess you can say I have not really been in the "mood"! The boys' are liking school. I don't actually care for Zack's teacher, well I guess her first impression was not the greatest. Maybe things will get better. Logan's teacher seems like a sweetheart. He really likes her. Zack likes his as well, but she has hurt his feelings a few times. Momma does not like when one of her little ones are hurt.... I will come out fighting like a bear!

Christmas came and went. The kids got some really nice gifts! They always do!! I took some pictures and will get them uploaded at some point. I tell ya there are not enough hours in the day! It is hard to believe a New Year is approaching us. Good bye 2008 and hello 2009.

Not much else has been happening. The kids are off until Jan. 5th. Logan has been actually hollering to go back. Zack on the other hand does not want his break to end. He enjoys playing his DS too much!

Oh I will say this Zack's teacher sent him a card to thank him for the gifts he took her for Christmas, and sent a letter to me and Brian.... so maybe she is going to be nice afterall. Brian had this woman in 4th grade.

My big yet hard for me news

It has came to a point in my life that I have reached the end of my homeschooling days. I never thought this would happen. I wanted so much to school my children all the way through high school. Things just have not panned out the way I wanted this year. I won't go on and on about what has happened, but I believe this step is the best for me and my family.... at least for now. If the boys want schooled at home later in time then we may do that, but right now they will begin public school on Monday the 8 th. It is hard to actually do this. I have had some rude comments such as "It is about time you quit playing school" Now that one wounded deep. I was NOT playing school. We did school everyday just like "real" school kids. My kids earned their grades just like the next kid. But oh well! I do feel like a failure, hopefully in time those feelings will go away. The boys are excited yet scared. It kinda hurt to see the excitement.... I mean I really worked hard with them and did things for them. I took them to K-mart on Friday and let them pick out their backpacks and trappers along with other goodies (school supplies and such). I did buy them some new shoes (which they had some nice ones, just not new) and a pair of new pants and a shirt for their first day. They both have very nice clothes already cause I bought new clothes a few months ago. But the boys' said Mom, "Can you get us one "cool" outfit?" I am a sucker!!! I want the boys to look nice cause I know when I was a kid I was made fun of. I don't want that for them. Anyway that is my big news!!! I plan on making some homemade chocolate chip cookies and have them ready for them for when they get home from school. I will take some pics of them to share. Melanie is going to take me cause she knows I am going to be a mess.... crying all the way back home. I feel like I am sending my boys' to the lions den! Ugh! They will be riding #2301 bus, which Melanie thanks that is my dad's old friend Larry Harper's bus. I sure hope it is. At least I would know the driver!

So I guess the boys' will go to school for 2 weeks then be off for Christmas break then start back again. I got all their grades together along with all the rest of the paper work I needed. Melanie said 2nd 9 weeks ends at the end of January. I went a head and added up what grades I have right now so their teacher would have a Midterm report for them. Go Mom!!!

I also took the baby back tot he doc on Friday for another checkup on this rash. He gave him some medication so we shall see if that helps. I will say he slept all night!!! Yay!!!!
